Required by the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines, ethics training and communication is critical if policies and procedures are to be integrated into the everyday actions of people within an organization. Stock exchange rules state that the policies should help “foster a culture of honesty and accountability”. Best practices programs typically include the following training and communication elements:
- Executives, managers, and employees trained on general Code issues yearly (1 hour yearly). Most U.S. companies are doing this through a combination of online and instructor-led training.
- Select managers and employees have additional training on specific subjects such as Antitrust laws, FCPA, and Conflicts of Interest.
- Ongoing communication through internal communication channels.
Who writes the courses?
Our team of ethics training experts writes the courses. Selected courses are reviewed by law firms with expertise in specific topical areas.
How do my employees access the course?
For RedHawk Ethics Solution-hosted courses, employees access the course through an internet link that can be included in emails or added to your intranet site. Once they access the log-in page, they enter their last name and employee ID# and are provided access to the course (assuming they are in the course data base).
What level of security will we experience within our courses?
At Kaplan EduNeering, client privacy is extremely important to us. We utilize SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to protect all sensitive information transmitted via the web through this secure encryption method. We are also Safe Harbor Certified to accommodate our EU clients. View our Privacy Policy.
How are my employees entered into the course data base?
You need to provide us with a text file or Excel file of the employees you want to have access to the course. Information in the file typically includes first and last name, division, department, employee ID#, and email address.
How do I customize the courses?
We do most of the work for you. We review your Code of Conduct and other policies and integrate them into the course. We develop ethical dilemmas that reflect your company workplace. And we develop a graphic design that matches your company web site or intranet.
Can I host the course on our internal computer systems?
Yes. If your company has an AICC- or SCORM-compliant Learning Management System (LMS), we can work with your internal IT or training group to port our courses to your system.
Do my employees need any special software or hardware?
Employees do not need special software or hardware. RedHawk Ethics Solution courses have low-bandwidth and are designed to easily implement across a wide variety of computer systems. If desired, the courses can be delivered without any required plug-ins.
How is student completion tracked?
RedHawk Ethics Solution-hosted courses are tracked through a comprehensive reporting system. Available reports include:
- Verification of Course Completion
- Course Scores
- Time To Complete
- Reports Organized By Department, Site, or Division
What about my employees without computer or internet access?
We understand not all of your employees may have access to computers. With our Offline Reporting Application, you can manage reporting and tracking of offline users and online users together in one centralized LMS location.
How do I access the reports?
Clients are able to access the reports through a secure web site that is available 24/7. The reports are downloadable via text or Excel files.
